My EB 2004 has limited slip rear, according to the build sheet. Today I discovered that it was low on oil in the rear end. Don't know how long. O bought it 1500 miles ago and checked all the fluid levels EXCEPT that one. Dumb.....

Anyhow, its making no noise. No creaks or bumps when turning etc..

When I lift up one tire with the other tire on the pavement, and the tranny in neutral, I can turn the lifted tire about 1/8" of a turn and then it grabs and I cannot turn it any further, at least not by manual force. If I let go, then a moment later try and turn it again, I can turn it 1/8" turn again before it grabs. etc etc etc etc.

Any idea if this is usual behavior? I'd have thought that the clutches should not allow any play. This is acting as if its a Locker, but that is not what they are, to the best of knowledge....

Thanks for the info....

lsd work with wheel slip. so if your able to turn the tire a little and have the other tire catch thats how it works. its normal. a locker wouldnt let you even turn the tire. and an open diff you would be able to just spin that tire.
