I have the factory LL shocks on a 2017 Limited. Rides great with no trailer, but I tow a 6000lb travel trailer with about 600lb tongue weight. These shocks are woefully inadequate. Even with the weight distribution hitch I can't get a good ride. I previously towed the same trailer with a 2011 Expedition with no issues. I felt it sat a little low in the rear, but always a good ride. Ford has no clue or pretends not to. Finally they offered to replace with the same shock....not a solution.
I need a recommendation for a replacement. Seems no one is making one yet. Just had it a trailer specialist who tells me he has seen these shocks on several high end vehicles towing trailers and horses with good results, but he has no good recommendations for me.
