Maintenance Package

Have any of you gotten the maintenance package on your new 25? If so, which one did you get and how much did it cost?

Lastly, I'm still from the school of oil changes every 5,000 and a tire rotation every other oil change. I know that the factory maintenance schedules are much longer then that. Has anyone had a problem if they have gotten a package in a previous year vehicle? I'm assuming it the maintenance was followed then warranty should not be an issue.

It's been a while since I have been on here so I assume it has been covered before, but in case it's been a minute...

Your best bet is to buy from a dealership that sells them online. The plans are not dealer specific so you don't have to buy from your dealership; it's tied to your VIN and any Ford dealer will honor it. Head over to Flood Ford (https://www.floodfordesp.com/), answer a few questions, and they will give you a price sheet to pick from (deductible level, mileage, and year)...you can buy right from them. Attached is the price sheet for a hypothetical 2025 with 500 miles.

NOTE: not all states allow this, Florida for instance (if I remember correctly).

If you are still nervous about buying online, do what I did: tell your dealer you are going to buy from Flood and see if they'll match the price, mine did. They love selling warranties becuase it's money in their pocket, so they would rather sell it to you at almost any (reasonable) price rather than see you send your money elsewhere.

I did that with my 2020 expy. Haven’t since, but not for any particular reason.

I never have, but I am pretty sure I will this time. In fact, I plan on buying both an extended warranty and a maintenance plan. Between how expensive cars are now and how complicated they are to fix (and how easily/quickly computer-related issues can happen), this is a car that I plan to drive until the wheels fall off. I also can't deny that I'm at a point in my life where minimizing stress has a real, tangible value to me. So if I can pay something up front to essentially lock in zero additional costs throughout ownership (outside of tires and fuel, basically) and get some level of comfort for 10 years/150k miles, I'm probably going to do it this time. I am doing the 5k interval plan because that qualifies me for the "severe conditions" servicing, and I want that extra piece of mind given I tow.

Definitely use one of the online dealers, though. Personally, I'm going through Granger (who I also ordered from).

I just took delivery of my Expedition from Granger, and I opted for an extended warranty from them (first time in my life for me).

They never offered or tried to sell me a maintenance program.

I have bought an extended warranty online from Granger on my Mustang and it was great working with them. I never thought of reaching out to them or Flood for a maintenance package. Or at least use them to see what my dealer can do.

You’ll want to check me, but I’m 99% sure the extended warranty kicks in on the “in-service date” of the vehicle, regardless of when you buy the plan. (Look at the red text in the screenshot I posted above.)

Yup, I think that’s right. As I understand it the price is the same now vs in several years, so there’s really no difference other than timing (per Granger).
