Well here's the story.
Friday i came home from school and noticed that there was some oil on my rear bumper and lift gate. So i looked under the truck and found that the entire underside was soaked with oil. Before i left, there wasnt any oil under there anywhere. I know bbecause i checked(i like looking at all my suspension stuff). So i came back to school sunday night and it was still soaked. I took it to the shop this morning to find out where the oil was coming from. After they checked it out they handed me a list of where it was leaking.
The main leak was the front pump seal on the transmission. The few minor leaks were from the transfer case input shaft seal, the wiring pass thru grommet on transfer case, and a very minor oil pan leak. I hate to say it but FORD(fix or repair daily) is becoming more true by the day.
And does anyone know how much this would cost to fix?

well the front pump seal assuming that it is just that even thou not common that will leak with out pump problems... you need to remove the tranny to do it so 6 hours plus parts depending on labor rates could be $600 easily

Yea they said the tranny had to come out. That is why they didnt do it cause they didnt have the tools to drop it. I was afraid it was gonna be pushing big numbers.

i hope it is just the seal but honestly i have my doubts... if you do need a rebuild or new tranny look into john woods they build very beefy transmissions and back them for 10 years... im hopin for the best for ya

Yea me too. Im just hoping it will be under $500 bucks. If not and it ends up being a new transmission then i can just forget it. It will just have to sit for another 6months.

Yep its just one thing after another. Selling it is out of the question(couldnt get anything for it anyways) the big big problem is getting something to drive while it is broke.
