Misfire with no cel any ideas

my 03 eddie with the 5.4L 86000 miles idles rough and jerks while accelerating and while cruzing along and has no power with no check engine light on anyone had this problem and easiest way to solve it?

Its the coil. There are coil over plugs on each cylinder and if one goes bad you will have a skip when accelerating. It is a common problem, I have had to replace 3.

It's most likely a failing coil on plug assembly. They go bad around 100K miles. If you don't have the CEL on yet, it will be shortly. It will say its a misfire and indicate which cylinder.

thanks guys i ended up putting a can of seafoam in the tank and ran it till empty and when i let it sit overnight i started it the next morning a bunch of smoke came out the back and now it runs great again i assume it was a clogged injector so saved me money and time to fix it i was going to head to the parts store to get a new coil when it did that ive put about 200 miles on it since and still no problems trucks been great since ive bought it
