My Bumper

Hello everyone, I have a 97 Expedition 4x4, I had a little fender bender and I would like to put a 99 front bumper on it, can any one tell me is it a direct fit? Or would it need to be modified or something

The 97 and 98 bumpers were the same. If you want to put a 99 bumper on it you'll have to change out the grill too, since yours dips down in the center and the 99 is straight across. You'll also need the 99 bumper top cover.

Take a look at LMC truck, they have detailed pictures that show the differences.

you got it backwards. the 97-98 are flat across and the 99-02 dip down.

So basically as long as I get the 3 parts of the bumper from a 99 Expedition and the grill everything will bolt right on?

yeah i think everything should bolt up. idk 100% for sure but i think it will bolt up.

Hum, does anyone know how i can find out for sure if everything will bolt up perfectly with out going out and buying it and wasting money ?

best bet is talk to a body shop or call the guys at LMC truck... they sell everything and should be able to help you out
