I just got my '99 Expedition E.B. I found the the front sway bar links were broken and I replaced them, moved on to why the front shocks were getting no air, found the the switch for air suspension was off. Turned it on and everything aired right up. Stood back and looked at her and noticed that the rear airbags were extended all the way and the back end was really high. Is this normal? I think it should be a little higher in the back, but I've got alot of space between the top of wheel and the fender. Can I adjust the height? If so, how? or maybe the front shocks dont air up enough? and what is this kneeling thing I hear its supposed to do?

theres a level sensor somewhere on there. idk where though. someone will tell you that one. but you can move it. i think lower. and it will lower the bags.

Erich, I would venture to guess that your rear bags have been filled all the way, resulting in the high rear end. I would first check the rear height sensor (located above the rear differential). You should see 2 halves of the sensor located side by side to each other. If they are not, then you have either a failed sensor (the truck thinks the rear end is too low) or the solenoid valve for the rear air has failed open and the system can not limit the air to the rear air bags.

if you need more info on this, let me see what I can find out for you. But a simple check of the height sensor should tell you a lot.

Well, I crawled under her and looked at the sensor, looks like a little shock absorber, and nothing else, nothing side by side, just the the one that looks like a shock. Could you give me a little more detail on what I'm supposed to be looking for? and where is the solenoid vavle for the rear?

Erich, the problem that I am having right now is that I bought a new computer recently (has Windows 7 on it) and all of my Service CD's no longer work and I am having to develop alternate ways of accessing them. HOpefully someone else can help you with the location of the solenoids. But, you have the height sensor correct.
