Well first off. I’m new here, Hi. [emoji51]

Soooo I was not in the market for new daily driver as I have a 2002 F250 215,000 miles and still kicking ass reliably. I have a 2004 Mercury Marauder that I’ve owned since 2009. I did modify it quite a bit, drove it hard, took it to Marauder gatherings around the country, made amazing friends, took great care of it as it did not look like it has 92,000 miles on it. Then one day while picking up a few ice coffees for my daughter and I. A drunk lady hit me head on and really smacked up the Marauders frame. I received a pretty good settlement on the car, they gave me back my Marauder and left the title alone so I can replace the frame and get my baby back on the road.

So after the accident I decided to buy myself a nice daily driver. I dreaded driving my F250 while not being able to drive my Marauder. I needed something really nice. I love our 2014 SHO and toyed with the idea of buying a second SHO. BUT reality hits and I need something that I could fit my wife, daughter and two big dogs plus luggage and other cargo. I kept looking at Suburbans. I just could not get over the ridiculously high asking prices for used 50,000 mile Suburbans. That’s when I remembered the Expedition. DUH!! I complete forgot about it. I knew I wanted the EL, preferred to find a Platinum or Limited version. But trying to find those in the EL version with low miles with in a 75 mile radius proved impossible and the more I thought about fixing those retractable running boards turned me off. I did find two Platinums but they were scratched a lot, not taken care of and more miles than I wanted. Then I came across a 2017 XLT EL with 34,000 miles on it about an hour away. Looked at and drove it. It had been well taken care of and really really clean inside, underneath and the body. I knew I would not find a nicer one around and my wife really liked it. So I plopped down some coinage and took it home.

So far we’ve taken it on three trips to Cleveland and Wisconsin twice. We are amazed at how well it cruises, its comfort and gas milage is pretty good for a truck this size. The only thing I wish it had was a heated steering wheel. The heated steering wheel will be my first mod this summer. After driving my wife’s SHO with the heated steering I am babied by it. Now I need it. [emoji23][emoji23]. I can’t think of anything I do not like about this truck. It’s quite possibly my perfect truck.

Anyways I am looking forward to reading more about our trucks here and chatting it up with you all. I’m a forum guy. I don’t do Facebook. I am on a few car forums and a few watch forums. Those are my happy place’s and Instagram. LOLzzzzzzzzz

A few pics. Because all threads are worthless without pics.

Husky matts fit great. Love the cargo liner that covers the third row.

As it sits now. I removed everything planning on replacing the frame hopefully in the spring.
