Hello. I've been working on my 'new to me' 97 Expy EB and had some issues due to a sh#tty remote start/alarm install. I've removed the system and fixed pretty much all the damaged wires but need help with these remaining wires/connections. In the first pic, does anyone know what goes in the grey connector to the left of the data port? I can't seem to locate any loose end for that connector. Also, what is the little white connector hanging loose in the pic? Where should it connect to?

Now on the second pic, I am trying to find out where the tiny blue & red connector ends attached to the toggle switch/button (on the driver side kick panel) should go. Where should I be looking to connect those? Any help is appreciated as I do not have any wire diagrams to help me currently. I am just trying to return the system back to stock. Thanks in advance.

ps. sorry for the pic quality, they were taken with my cell.

1st pic: looks like the plug for a trailer harness or electric brake harness. nothing needs to plug into. white thing looks like an aftermarket grounding point. you can just leave it there.

2nd pic: no factory toggle switch that i know about. probably from that r.s. you pulled.

yeah i am thinking the same on #1 -the empty connector. i cannot find anything under there that is out of place. As for #2, initially i was thinking it was part of the rs i took off but the toggle switch shell has the ford logo on the back. I'll continue my search tomorrow and hopefully trace it back to something. Today i found a two wire ( 1 blue, 1 red wire) connected at the end with a small white connector that i traced back into the rear of the instrument panel (system indicator/blinker light?) that i need to find where it connects to as well. Sucks since i cannot get a brand name off the system i took off to do a reverse install properly. :(

I was thinking that but do aftermarket installs run all the way into the back of the instrument cluster? I mean to get it wired they would have to open the cluster to attached the wires. They are connected to the red bulb indicator on the bottom of the cluster right above the shift indicator. I cannot locate the PATS module, I am thinking it may have been removed.

Corlon, you were right indeed. After extensive online searching (thanks Google) i was able to trace the only numbers available on the rs module to an older Prestige RS/Alarm by Audiovox. The install calls for drilling a hole on the dash and inserting the red blinker light where the driver and outsiders could see it and also drilling holes somewhere on the dash panel(s) for the toggle and reset switches. Well it looks like they removed a OEM bulb on the instrument panel and inserted the aftermarket bulb in its place (hence going into the back of instrument panel as i noted before). The toggle and reset switches were drilled/inserted in the black opening on the kick panel under the steering column. That solves the mystery as i took EVERYTHING apart searching for where those damn plugs went. Lesson learned and hopefully anyone else that removes an aftermarket rs system that may run into this issue can take note and avoid my worries.

I may have to take a pic and see if any 97 EB owners can tell me what should be in the blinkers place?
