Hello all,

My name is Greg and today I bought a 2005 Expedition XLT 4x4.

I bought the truck very gently used with only 65,000 miles. It was for sale at a local Ford dealership and while I'm not one to buy a 11 year old vehicle from a dealer, it was too good of a deal to pass up.

My previous daily driver was my 2002 F-150 crew cab 4x4. I bought it brand new in 2002 and it was a fantastic truck for the last 14 years. However my children are now 13 and 10 and it was becoming more and more evident that a crew cab pick up just wasn't cutting it anymore. Between baseball, football, and all the other activities my kids are into, I'm always shuffling kids and gear and their friends, ect. So my wife and I decided to look into the possibility of trading my F-150 in on an SUV.

I looked on this forum as well as talking to a buddy who has been a Ford tech for the past 30 years and felt that I knew exactly what to look for in a used Expedition.

The truck is SUPER clean, fully loaded, and has really low miles. The Carfax showed zero accidents and documented all service history at that dealership. I was prepared for the dealer to make me an insulting offer on my F-150 but since it was clean and had good miles for a 14 year old truck, they surprised me with a generous trade in offer. I beat them up a little bit on price and then paid the balance off in cash rather than take a small loan on an 11 year old truck.

I'm looking forward to being a member of the forum and learning all I can about my new truck.
