New expedition owner, missing part on valve cover??

I just bought a 99 expedition 2wd with the 5.4l engine and a couple days after my purchase, I got a check engine light. I scanned it and came up with code p0171 and p0174 (lean bank 1 & 2). I read about cleaning the maf so I did that today and reset the code, less than 10 minutes later, the light was back on. I read about checking all the vacuum hoses and pcv hoses. As I was doing that, I found a large threaded hole in the passenger side valve cover wide open, it had a little oil splashed out around the hole from being wide open. I also noticed a hose dangling right above the whole so I am assuming its supposed to be some type of nipple that threads in there for the hose to connect to it for the pvc system? I included pics of the hole and I am hoping someone can tell me what is supposed to be in there and maybe a part number? Any help greatly appreciated.

Yes, there's defintially something supposed to be there. I looked at mine and there's some hose or pipe that heads from there straight to the firewall. I'll definitally look into it for you man. I'll get back to you

From my understanding. This is a little fitted or threaded breather port. Some of it goes to the TB or into whatever. If the threads are not stripped.

Isn't that for the PCV valve? It looks as if someone deleted it for some reason.

Thanks for all the responses everyone. If it is the location of the pcv valve, anyone know why it would be deleted? I'm not sure who would delete a pcv valve and not put some type of filter on the valve cover since there's now a wide open hole to the oil. Scary thinking about what other dumb stuff has been done.

For anyone that has replaced the pcv valve, the hole appears to be threaded, yet all the pictures of replacement pcv valves I am looking it, they look like just a plug type, any ideas why?

the 3rd pic looks almost like the PCV valve is still there.... if I remember correctly the PVC valve is just pressed into the hole

yeah just press it in there. i think my hole was threaded too, but it just pops in and out. like a prairie dog!

Is there a hose or something heading toward the hole? Yes, its your PVC. Idk why its not there...

Definitely the pcv valve + yes it only pushes in.

So I went to advance and got a purolator pcv valve and its metal, is there no kind of gasket or seal for it? Seems weird to plug a metal pcv valve in a metal hole without any type of seal. Wouldn't it just leak?
