Just purchased a 2004 XLT and did so using the advice of this board. Anyway, the truck has 189,000 miles, bought it for $3600, and it has a ton of new stuff.

Motor has 25k on it, along with the following within the last three months: new brake pads, rotors, PS pump, rack and pinion, alternator, battery, AC compressor, drier, and more.

I've been working on it this week quite a bit. Bought a ton of stuff that all comes in this week to take care of a lot of wear items on the truck and fix all the rattles and squeaks. I'm soldering in a lightning audio input for the radio, repairing DVD system, new speakers, repairing upholstery, replacing many suspension bushings, taking apart every interior piece to add felt and loctite to make this thing feel newer, I'll try to post some progress pictures in appropriate threads, and I can't thank this forum enough for all the information!
