Hi all,
We have a '11 XLT, but recently picked up a '06 XLT-SSV for my son. He was looking for a truck to tow his bass boat, and the price was great, only 85k miles and overall good condition. But it seems to have the dreaded window leak and mysterious electrical issues , hence how I found the forum. Also the dreaded rear hatch corrosion. We are now looking for carpeting and center console, etc.
I'm sure I will be asking everyone here for some info.

for the 06 check the Fuel Pump Drivers Module located on the frame rail drivers side by the spare tire. Do a search here on the forum. This may not be a problem for you but the problem with the FPDM is the salt conditions cause the module to corrode and fail. Which could leave you stranded Check it now and if needed replace it. This is a know problem with the 05/06 expeditions

Also a HUGE suggestion that I don't really know if anyone else mentioned but go to junk/salvage yards and you'll find a console, seats and carpet in no time at all.
