so you dont want them on the expy, you want them on a new f150? usually the stock gears are perfect for the truck, unless you are planning on throwing some meaty tires underneath it. and lockers wouldnt be a good idea unless you plan on offroading it, and if you get lockers, you would want selectable lockers so your axles arent always locked. better street ride.

i talked with a guy who has supercharger and he mentioned he had detroit lockers...but the gears was just g-wiz...it will defenitely stay street...i have 2 dreams for F150 and a ranger...the F150 on 33's...maybe 31's...the ranger slammed...

so when i do the F150...do the gears...or should i select the ratio option when buying...

if you get a f150 and want to make it bigger find a used fx4. all ready have a locker and pretty much done for off roading and bigger tires. not saying you will but its all there. or just get a new Raptor. with the 6.2l of corse. then call Hennesey performance and get the twin turbo set up for 800 hp. then its a VelcoiRaptor. just a thought.

If you're going to put 35s or 37s I would reccomend 4.10s, with stock gears, even if they are 3.73 the engine and tranny will get tired... not to mention you're truck will accelrate slow as hell.

i am running 35's with stock gears now and so far no problems. sure, im not super fast off the line but hey, im not a porche either! i accelerate just fine. but if you go bigger than 35's, you are definitely going to want better gears or do like walnuts did and get a programmer.
