hello, I am new to the Expedition world and to the Ford world. I have owned an 88 GMC Sierra, a 4wd Blazer ZR2, and now I officially own a 1998 4x4 Expedition Eddie Bauer edition. I have a few questions already. My Expy has 166k miles and is in VERY good condition... I mean...VERY good condition. never seen something with this many miles in such good shape. Whoever owned it beforeme took very well care of it.. I plan on doing the same... Anyways, my questions are below......

-My Cruise control doesnt work at all..I have checked the fuses and everything and its all good any insight or suggestions??

-As you may all know, the Eddie Bauer edition has a suwoofer and the Mach system in it...The Subdoesntwork, and I opened the panel only to discover that there are two black wires that have been stripped a bit and are not connected to the amp or driver or whatever that metal box is... I twisted them together, but the woofer still doesnt work.. Any insight?

-My Expy makes a clicking noise up front on the driver side when Im moving at slow speeds andthe wheel is turned. Even in reverse it does this. But drivability is still excellent. Any inisight?

-I have a 4x4 with 2hi, 4Auto, 4hi, and 4lo and toweing package and air suspension.... Is it supposed to raise the vehicle when placed in 4wd?

-Someone told me that the 4x4 models have a limited slip Differential in the rearend and an open differential up front (That is a bit disappointing, bc open makes no sense to me in a 4wd truck)..Is it true? does my Expy have Trac-Lok in the rear and front or what?

Sorry to ask so many questions at once, Im justreally excited to finally own one of these monsters and kings of the road..Thanks a bunch guys!!

ill answer what i know. the rear might have a lsd. the front is open. most vehicles now a days have an open front. people dont off road as much so factorys dont put them in the front any more. i wish i had a lsd in the rear of mine. mines open front and rear. and as for the air suspension. i think it is supposed to rise a little bit. for added ground clearance. but the other problems other people will chime in eventually. and welcome to the forum. youll like it. i have lots of problems with my expo and everyone here is very knowledgeable. but no one knows everything so youll see a lot of people passing the info on to other people. but its all good.

the clicking in the front could be CV going out. check your boots up front and see if there are any holes.
