Hey everyone. Just recently purchased a new to me 2020 XLT Max with 70k miles.
Just wanted to check in and see if theres anything I should be doing or aware of at this milage. History of the truck is the maintenance was done every 5k miles at the dealer, had new tires and pads and rotors resurfaced at 60k and so far no issues there.
I have noticed the 4th gear clunk while decelerating and the 8th gear hesitation but I come from the F-150 world so thats not new.

Already working on upgrading the sound since I have the base audio, just put kickers in the doors and have a kicker key amp arriving this week. Plan is to do a 10” sub just trying to decide where and how so Im open to ideas right now a single down-fire box in the trunk is what Im thinking but i have also been looking at the JBL nano under the front seat so if anyone has experience with those let me know how it performs, im just looking for good lows and a little bump not trying to rattle the windows Im 30 i just want comfort and good sound lol.
Anyway excited to be a new member!

Welcome to the forum! You should peruse the forum for transmission issues, thermostat replacement and front wheel bearing in the 2020 MY. The sound system you are installing is great but consider additional soundproofing in door panels and undercarriage.

Make sure to use the updated stat. It really makes a difference. I thought my truck was fine since I bought it new. Believed it was normal. It ran hot for years because I didn’t know better. From new.

Changing the thermostat to the new/updated part is probably the best 1st thing you can do to your Expy.

Replace the spark plugs. Ford says they are good for 100k miles. The experience of many says it's more like 60-75k.

I don’t know what causes the difference, but there is no way mine would be misfiring at 70k miles when the feeler showed .028 or whatever the spec is that means it has no wear. I had it in front of me that day when I checked. All were the same. 30k, zero wear. One guy pointed to my almost complete use of high quality premium fuel. I dunno. Maybe that’s it.

Welcome to the forum! The Expys that come stock with a subwoofer put it in the rear of the wheel humps in the rear cargo area. Maybe that location would work for you.
