not getting fuel?

hey guys, my 08 has kind of been feeling like it wasn’t getting enough power for awhile now but it just kept going until yesterday when I was literally half a mile from home it suddenly lost power and slowed down and died and won’t start. Check engine light is on but no codes. It starts on ether so I’m guessing it isn’t getting fuel which would explain the way its been acting lately like it isn’t getting quite enough fuel at times. I can hear the fuel pump come on when turning the key to the on position so does that mean it isn’t the fuel pump?
