not going into 4 low

Hey guys. Went to go 4 wheeling yesterday. I was cruzing around in 4 hi but when I stop and try to put it in 4low I get nothing. Like its still in 4 hi and the light say's its still in 4 hi. Anyone have some Suggestion's?

Transfer case shift motor is a common failure point of the system.

you put it in neutral. hold brake. switch to 4lo. put into D. i put mine into 1 since it shifts weird in D. ill shift mine from 1-2 in 4lo. no need for a higher gear.

thats what i did and still nothing. it go's into awd and 4hi just no 4lo.
