It could have been more city vs highway miles but I felt like we drove it pretty consistently. One things for certain… the engine did not get good mileage whenever I used 93. I had expected the opposite. Maybe 91 (what’s recommended for my 2018) would be even better than the 89.Higher octane is more about performance, power, and maybe running cooler, than about mileage...even though mileage should improve a bit also
It's a nice try but there are clearly some significant variables at play other than octane. Getting 17 mpg in one set and 13.7 in another (with 112 miles being a small sample), we definitely aren't seeing the whole story here
