What octane is everyone running? I'm runnin 89, took care of some chitty-chitty bang, bang, noises during startup. I read another post awhile back, and another guy was having problems with his engine making a lot of noise when it was cold out, so he ran 89 for 5 tanks and it went away. He said after the 5 tanks or so, he put 87 back in it, and the noises came back. Been runnin 89 since and no issues.

87 when I use my 87 performance and economy tune with the sct, no noises at all, 93 with my 93 performance tune. I know, how logic is that

89. i think my hypertech programer requires it. it says highest octane. but if i use 91 i get bad mileage. and same with 87. with 89 i get 330 to a tank. WOOO! 11 mpg. haha

with edge cs on level 2 I run 87 octane and average about 11-11.5mpg with the 37s and have no issues at all

87 cuz gas is too damn expensive...hell, i would get 85 if they had it! hahahah

i wish i could get 87. i would but i get worst mileage then with 89. then when/if i get a edge cst like i want then ill see if i can get 87 or 89. hell my parents pay for it but even if i get gas i get 89.

I run 91 with hypertech program and get 17mpg (only when cruising at 60mph).. panda I wonder why your gas mileage is worse with 91 and 87? Who did you get your program from? I also have tried 100 octane but didn't see any improvement over the 91. To the OP, unless you have a chip or knocking issues I think it's pointless to run anything but 87.
