I always get The Works at the Ford Dealer and reset my oil life to 70%. According to the dealer I bought it from in Texas, the notice they got from Ford was to do this for the driving conditions in that area. I still follow that practice and have not had an issue - just rolled over 200,000 miles!

I go to the Ford Dealer every 5000 miles. No oil consumption using the synthetic blend.

I've considered going full synthetic, but my results so far have been great with the blend so I think I will continue doing this.

I've enjoyed working on my own cars for 50 years, even restoring classics, and have seen a lot of changes in oil over that time. I was old school for a long time and changed my oil frequently even though I used synthetic. What I learned is that synthetic will last to 10,000 miles, easy, with great viscosity and lubricating properties. The key however is in the filter. But watch out... Many quick oil change places are using ultra small, cheap filters - which are a no go. To go 10,000 miles, use something like a Fram synthetic filter XG2 or equivalent. Then it's no sweat.

For me, I schedule a change at the dealer at 20% life remaining....which is not mileage based, as far as I can tell. For me however, it runs around 8k miles.

This is a radical departure for me, I used to change the oil every 3K miles, but have adopted the on-demand FORD schedule for a couple of reasons. First, the engine only ever has had synthetic in it. Secondly, and perhaps most importantly, I'm on an extended warranty, and don't expect to keep the vehicle until the warranty expires. So, spending money on oil changes is kind of a waste.

I don't think one number fits all. Depends upon what type of driving in what temperatures for me.

I've seen a few posts that indicate 'they' were using "other' than 5w30? The Ford specs indicate the 5w30 which is what I even use in my 2010 Ranger XLT 4x4. In a previous vehicle I was using a 0-20 which was a gas saving blend??? Should I/We be sticking to the 5w30 or is the other 'numbers' a possible thing?

For a new vehicle I would stick with what's in the owner's manual. The only thing that I did was switch to full synthetic.
