Ford esp will and can reject warranty se
It just about takes me longer to drive to the dealership and back than it does for me to do the change. I'm actually looking forward to my next oil change to try out my Valvomax.

I do take it over to Discount tire for my free rotations every time I change the oil. Grab some tacos at Taco Cabana next door while I wait.
I want some Taco Cabana!!

Love my Valvomax. No mess on the concrete when done. Only problem I encountered is when I took it into a Ford dealer for my 10,000 mile checkup and they refused to use it. I left and took it to a local shop I think highly of who reports to Carfax, no problem with them.

Where I live the stealership prices are competitive. They are slow as hell but have an excellent space to work so I don’t care.

My wife said it’s ridiculous that I go to a Dealership to get my oil changed and ended up going somewhere else that was 25% more expensive. YMMV

I also have the Ford esp. even if the oil changes were a bit more, the paper trail of all the maintenance I do is tracked and provides one less opportunity to reject claims in the future

My oil changes all cost between $5-25 so I'm guessing it's more than just "a bit more." Generally, syn blend/full syn changes here range from $80-120. Between the 2 cars I've done 37 oil changes since 2015, so if we assume the lower $80 price and don't account for tax, etc. we're still talking $2,035 plus the cost of gas to/from the shop (about $9 round trip for my Expedition at current prices).

As for the Ford ESP, I had it and Ford never even inquired about oil changes. They also have the full, legal contract under lock and key never to be seen by a customer, so they can and do deny claims whenever they please. I literally had my attorney send a formal request for said contract numerous times and here we are 8 years later with no contract. I imagine the first time you would ever see it was during discovery if you opted to take them to court.
