In my old truck, I could just set the air mode button and that would open the vents so air would be pushed in as I drove. The actual HVAC fan would be off. I find even the lowest fan setting too strong at times, and I just want some air without the windows being open or fan running. Can you do this on the Expedition?

I looked in the manual and didn't see anything, and all my attempts to search gave me threads that had nothing to do with what I was trying to figure out.

Thanks.

I haven't seen that set up in a long time. I don't think the newer stuff does that. What about pointing the vents down or away from you?

The climate control might be different, but mine doesn't have that option. As soon as you turn the vent on the blower turns on. There's no way to turn it off.

Thanks. That's what mine does...I select a vent direction setting, and while the blower doesn't light up as "on" showing the blower speed, it is definitely on. No big deal. Was just curious. I liked that on my Nissan.

Yep, EATC is programed to have the blower on.

Easy way to "fix" that - just need to add a switch inline with the power to the blower motor, or a relay setup to turn on the blower when the a/c is on.
