Overhead compass - need wiring info

I have a 1999 Expedition, and I'm looking for a wiring diagram or pinout information for the overhead compass/ambient temperature unit.

according to the 99 owners manual and the wiring diagram the 99 expedition does not have ambient temperature available in the overhead unit

If you don't mind me asking, where did you get those diagrams? I firmly believe in "teaching a man to fish", and posting in this forum was my last resort after Google-fishing for many hours. If there's a way I can look up that information on my own in the future, without posting to the forum, I'd be grateful to learn.
