power folding side mirrors seal

I have a 2022 Max (limited stealth). both side mirrors function to fold in/out as well as tilt/pan and heated element works. Mu issue is on driver side 2 strips of a thin foam tape like seal is sticking out where mirror body meets the frame/mount attached to door. please see attached.

does this look like something that would be factory warranty? I cant find any how to info on taking mirror off of that door mount to re-seat the seals sticking out. I don't even see along bottom of mirror body a track these seals would sit in and I looked up from bottom at the other mirror and felt along bottom of other mirror and there is no foam seal there. wherever these are supposed to be, it is not in a spot that is exposed when mirror is folded in.

any idea?

The folding movement of the mirror looks to have torn the seal. It needs to be replaced. If you are still in the 3/36 bumper to bumper I would think it's covered

Per Ford technical support this is actually a feature to keep birds from nesting in there and taking fries at the drive-thru.

Actually, I agree with Rob. Seems like a torn seal. If it was mine and not under warranty I'd cut off the part sticking out and carry on.
