Hello, anyone ever take apart the power window module? The back lights on mine work intermittently, so I'm guessing bad ground? I took the drivers module out, but could only get the bottom half off. Anyone know the trick to getting the top half off, any pics?

Thanks!

Yea, just took mine apart. Seems the problem also affects the F150s as well. Seems it's a bad solder, or something. Not very well thought out, since the three resistors are pretty close to each other, so, as you might expect, the LED board heats up a bit after a few minutes of running.

I can give you instructions if you wanna take yours apart. I could try posting pix, but my video camera doesn't do macros.

Instructions would be great! the top (button) part seems to be grabbing something behind the switches? Bottom comes off easy. Maybe just a pic of the inside of the top if any, otherwise instructions would be cool, do you need my email address? Thanks for the reply!

Thank you for the videos! Do you have a write up on it as well? The step where you take the actual button/switch off, you say you just yank on them? So they pop off fairly easy? I afraid of breaking them. Also on the LED video, I see you have the same intermittent lighting problem I have, what was the problem and the fix?

Yea, they're kinnda "pressed" on. Just lift up on one end, and kind of wiggle it and it'll pop off.

As for the problem, I haven't really fixed it. It seems the problem is with the connection with one of the resistors, or something. My EE friend wanted to make a copy of the board, but make improvements to it, one of them being having the components not be surface mount so as to make it easy to repair as well as being able to change the color of the LEDs to whatever you want.

Cool, I will take it apart this weekend. My Bro is an EE as well, so I will have him look at the board to see what fixes/ideas he comes up with. I will keep you posted. Thank you again for the help.
