Quick transmission question

I have a 99 Eddie Bauer with a hb trans that needs to be replaced and I just purchased a transmission out of an 01 Eddie Bauer which is a db. ? is will the db trans work in my truck. And if anything needs to be changed. Thanks

I assume you are talking about codes on the side. If you are referring to 4R100s-The only thing to worry about is in 01 ford tried a mechanical diode similar to what they use in 4r70ws, it was a complete failure and within months ford went back to the traditional sprag. The box code begins with a J1 on these models. Ford never issued a recall just TSB for replacements when they failed.
99-01 shouldnt be a swap problem though as both have forward/rear speed sensors and should be 4R100 if a 5.4
