I have a 2020 Expy Platinum with the RES. I have tried to connect my phone to it following the on screen instructions but Ford has changed the app from Ford Play to Ford Pass and now to just Ford app. The Ford App does not have any way to connect to the RES. I tried downloading the old Ford Pay App to my phone but it will not find nor connect to the RES. The AI assistant on the Ford site was no help and suggested I go to a Dealer to remedy the problem. Has anyone else dealt with this problem?

I have never attempted to connect my phone to my RES. However I have connected a Amazon Fire Stick via the HDMI port on the driver side screen. Then using the vehicle (ATT) WiFi stream movies via Netflix.
I believe you could connect a fire stick to a phone WiFi.
I am just curious what your goal is or another words what you are attempting to accomplish with a phone connection.
