Went to adjust the mirror last night [2019 Platinum] because someone was tailing me with high-beams, and noticed there's no little toggle tab/button under the mirror, and no switch/button to activate a dim or night mode, and no obvious sensors to do that automatically. Does the Platinum Expy come with a "dumb" rear view mirror, that can't even be manually dimmed? The Owner's Manual does reference an Auto-Dimming Mirror... is there one?

In the order guides, only the driver's side mirror is referenced as "auto-dimming." You would think that the rear-view mirror would also react to bright lights. I know that older Fords and other vehicles we have owned had that (auto) feature.

I know my Eddie Bauer 3rd gen has auto dimming mirrors, no manual adjustments needed.

Yes, Platinums have the auto dim function. You can see the sensor in the mirror at the top middle or so on the front (inside the glass). It's hard to see, so the light has to be just right to see the (circle) sensor.

Cool I'll check it out. I guess I'm just surprised there's no on/off button for it. Is there even a wire connected to it? I'll have to look...

I see the sensor. The wire must be internal to the mount because I don't see it. Thanks!
