2 things. 1) All caps means you are yelling. No need to yell. 2) Do a search on here, there is a long thread that discusses options. Including aftermarket options that are far superior.

But you are replacing crap with more crap. Look at the other options! SO much better!!!

I don't think its better. I use OEM, works fine. Easy to remove / replace. Works fine.
Why is it crap? Change from OEM and next owner has to figure out WTF happened.

The wiper they changed to in 17 is crap, even worse than was used in 15, and most of 16. Not sure what year yours is. I speak from experience. Switched to the Doorman arm and a Bosch wiper.

It was easier to remove snow because it will swing out WAY further than the factory wiper would. It also covered WAY more of the rear window. Sorry, but the little things matter. Once I find the right arm for my 2020, I will do the same!

The 07-09 have the good rear wiper that will accept any blade. Nice sturdy steel arm that makes good contact.

The 17 the OP posted about does not.

That is what I had before the 2020. The Dorman arm mentioned in the thread linked above basically is a solution that gets you back to what you are talking about.

Both of my Expy's are listed in my signature, '07 & '09. The rear wiper is fine, not sure why you think that a problem?

Those of us accessing this forum remotely do not see signatures. Neither TapaTalk, or the mobile browser version show signatures. Only those accessing via a full web browser see them.

What don’t some of you get? Like was mentioned above. The 3rd Gens wiper has changed SEVERAL times. The 17’s have a dinky little arm, and very flimsy wiper. It only moves cm’s from the glass surface. It is NOT the same wiper and arm that is on either of your Expeditions.

Loki is right about how bad the 2017 rear wiper is. I have replaced my OEM with a
Dorman 42651 Wiper Arm
with 16" J hook blade 9mm x 3 or 9mm x 4 Trico (carquest) XQ16

The OEM sucked and just the blade was expensive.

Do not understand why people have to be so confrontational. Ignored loki.

Huh. I wasn’t confrontational in anyway. I answered your question. I also clarified again, that the wiper was different than the previous years that you own.

You were the one that made the smart comment back to me that your years were in your signature. Which I informed you that those of us(many) that do a lot of our reading of these forums on a mobile device cannot see those. If anything, you were the confrontational one.

16”. Try Costco if your a member. I bought 22” and 16” for under $10 per. Stock up. It’s a good deal.

Your Expedition does not use the same wiper as a 17 that the OP is looking for.
