Rough Start Up

Hello Guys,

Recently i have been having a rough start up when i go to crank the truck up (1997 5.4 4x4) it seems to sputter a bit then it idles fine, also a few times while driving my transmission shifts into second gear, sometimes it sputters and gets no gas. Any one have any idea what my problem could be?

i dont...but recently i've encoutered the samething...i think its my starter...sometimes it takes a second then other time it starts right up...

Yeah i dont know what it is really, i have had the check engine light come on here an there then turn off on its on as well.

needs tune up...spark plugs, fuel filters, ect...

So ... what was the CEL code?

Have you checked all the vacuum lines, cuz the 1st gens are notorius
for cracked boots and lines at the pcv's - especially the one back
against the firewall.
