Service engine soon light turned on

the service engine light turned on after i engine washed my Ford... is it just normal or do i really need to change oil it???

I would say its normal since something probably got wet. I would poke around all the hoses and connections and make sure nothing is loose or retaining moisture.

if you washed the engine compartment be careful as too much water can fry your COPs... I'd just let it dry and see if it works, if it dries and nothing seems wrong you can disconnect battery to reset CEL and see if it comes on agiain or if you have access get the code read...

^^^Agreed. The COPs probably got wet and you are getting a misfire.

What's up with this COP stuff? Are spark plugs still like on my old MB where you just screw it in and pop the cable on top? lol
