Shock/strut for softer ride

My 2008 runs smooth as silk but the ride is very stiff. Any recommendations for shocks/struts that give a softer ride? FYI installed Monroe struts about 4 years ago - very stiff, don’t absorb the shock very well.

Would also help to list rim and tire sizes. as well as if they are passenger or light truck tires.

Airing down the tires to the minimum safe level helps a lot as does a larger sidewall (smaller wheel).

Other than that the softest ride will be on the OEM Motorcraft dampers.
