I bought this vehicle with issues in passenger side mirror. It keeps moving, bought it thru family and they used ad flyer (newspaper) wedged in to help hold it. Just driving, the wind makes it move, and when closing the door as a passenger makes it move a lot. I can find all kinds of articles on how to replace. I have matching paint on mirrors and the paint is pearl metallic smoke white. Finding a matching mirror would me harder than trying to get struck by lightning. Does the hinge have a spring and lock kind of thing that can be addressed?

Turns out the cover on mirror comes off. Next I have to figure center lock. For now, this is where it thinks it is. I hope I can get this fixed and it helps someone before i break it worse than it is.

Finding out I might have power folding mirrors (now that it in pieces) I'm so glad someone here responded to my post for help a week before I tore this apart. Can't find control for them.

Well I used candle wax to hold spring and pin into place, i got it all back together. Only cost me a dead battery.

The control for the power mirrors is the same know that you use to adjust the mirror. Place the selector in the center position and then toggle it down (Like you are adjusting the mirror down) and they will fold in. Mine had issues when I got it but I said screw it as I never really have a need to fold them in and put non folding mirrors on it. Had they not been so expensive I would have put new power fold mirrors on. However........

Thank you for your reply. Honestly I had everything in pieces (minus pulling door panel and removing mirror from truck and my above post was sarcasm) when I saw the motor in the mirror and the gear on the hinge. I put it back together and pressed that button many times before the synced (drivers side needed massaging into place) but now that they are correct, I would rather duck under mirror than do electronic move.
