Hi folks,

New to the forum after having purchased a 2015 KR 4x4.

I've replaced the interior lamps with much brighter LEDs and also wanted to swap the lamps that shine downwards on the ground with LEDs. When I popped the lamps out I was surprised to see that the bulbs are embedded in what appears to be a sealed assembly containing the lens, reflector, and a black plastic housing. There doesn't appear to be any way to remove the bulb from the housing as the lens is glued on.

Any thoughts? Are there LED replacements available that also include the housing?

Thanks.

I think it takes a 31mm festoon bulb. That is the only set of bulbs I haven't replaced yet.

Dug around a little more myself and looks like you're correct, thanks for the info. To get the bulb out of the housing requires a hack saw and some glue or silicone caulking to put the lens back on after the bulb is replaced, but it's an easy job. Alternatively you could spend $80 on a new housing with the led already installed, big bucks!
