2nd and 3rd rows fold absolutely flat unless you have captain chairs or a middle console (if so, swap to 8 seater configuration).

Just toss an air mattress over it and you should be fine unless you're like 7ft tall.

Get a roof rack or one of those luggage box things for stowing your stuff on top to clear out the back instead.
That's one way to do it just very impractical for what I want to do. I'm trying to keep the mpg's as high as possible we have a very long trip coming up.

My trip went off without one hiccup. We drove to baja Mexico this year for the Baja1000 to meet with some friends and semi chase a class 11 car.

I made a good overall check of the Expedition checked all the fluids and gave it a oil change and sent it. We logged 5500 miles and were on the road 14 days.

Here's a little more of the setup inside for this trip.
