Do you have higher gears with those tires? Reason I ask is that if you dont your gonna have the same problem no matter what tranny you get, especially with the 4.6

Yea and they also cost $1600. I bet they are really nice but i will never have that much money to spend on a tranny.

I had a tranny shop quote me $2500 to rebuild my stock one. My point was that if you had to rebuild, Monster might be cheaper.

Yea i know what you mean i wasnt shootin your idea down, i actually liked that tranny but i just dont got the cash. My tranny guy gave me a quote to rebuild mine of around $1900 with my student discount and he said i could pay it off in payments.

But one of my dads friends shops has a 2000 E4OD tranny that i can get for $300 and they said he said they could put it in for a total of $900. So im gonna look into that if it will work that is the route im gonna go.

Ok well im taking my truck to the shop today. The E4OD will not bolt up directly to my 4.6. So i am getting a new to me 4R70W tranny. I am still getting it for $900 installed and ready to go. So i should get it back by the end of next week and will update on how it turns out.

Thanks me too. It was parked for 41 days before i tried to drive it to the shop yesterday. It was a 50 mile trip and i came up 3miles short. It finally gave out when i got off the interstate. So they had to come pick it up on the flat bed the rest of the way.
