I have a 1997 expedition with the 5.4 v8. Has any one used ngk gp platinum spark plugs? Are they any good? I want to change mine and don't have a bunch off money to spend as we leave for vacation in 2 weeks thanks Dan

no matter what plugs you decide to use depending on your mileage you may want to install new coils or at the very least install new boots and use dialect grease on the coil wires and boots also make sure to torque the new plugs 16-20 ft lbs

Yeah I would stick with motorcraft plugs. I have always heard that these motors were fussy when it came to plugs. Motorcraft has worked well for me so far.
