SSM 52257 - 2022-2023 Navigator - Intermittent Auto Fold Mirrors Not Opening Completely At Start Up - Built On And Before 03-Aug-2023
Some 2022-2023 Navigator vehicles built on and before 03-Aug-2023 and equipped with auto fold exterior mirrors may exhibit an intermittent condition with the mirrors not opening completely during vehicle start up. This may be due to the software in the driver door module (DDM) and passenger door module (PDM). To correct the condition, reprogram the DDM and PDM using the latest software level of the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) diagnostic scan tool. For claiming, use causal part 14B291 and applicable labor operations in Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.
