Stiffer Front Springs

Has any one beefed up their front suspension to accommodate the extra weight of a steel bumper and winch? My first thoughts were... I've seen some "heavy" people driving Expeditions and this would more than make up the difference between my weight plus a steel bumper and winch. But that's not to say the springs won't start to sag after a while. Does anyone have any experience with this that they'd be willing to share?

I have a 2003 EB 4x4 but the springs appear to be the same when I was looking for springs.
