Alright now that Michigan is finally thawing I've got some new noises in the Expedition. What I thought was just worn pads has turned out to be not the case so Ill come here to see if you guys can diagnose me before I take it in.

Here are the symptoms:
Horrible screech while in reverse
Only coming from passenger side, possibly rear
Goes away once car is going forward or you backup about 200 ft or so
Only started after the weather got warmer

What I've diagnosed:
Not a seized caliper
Pad is fine
Nothing glows after a long drive

So, is it a break problem or a drive-train problem?

Oh and best part, I get to replace the drivers side window regulator tomorrow! YAY!

Thanks for the help guys.

Have you checked the emergency brake? The adjuster or springs could of gone bad and dropped. It could cause the noise you are describing by binding in reverse but not in forward.

That is what they originally had thought since I indicated that the noise was coming from the right rear. Turns out it was coming from the right front. Here is what they found. .
