I feel your pain. Looks like you have a nice place to work though. How'd the job go and what was the hardest part?New slides for the sunroof
Yeah, that's the rub. I did the job, not too difficult but a good 11hrs of time and now I'm scared to test it again several months later for the fear it might bust again and I'd have to go through this again. Not using it is not a problem, but I may sell the truck in the next year or so and not sure I want to "test" it for the perspective buyer.Nice. I had to replace the sunroof on my 2011 Expy a few years ago. I started to tear it down myself as I though I could replace the rails without pulling the entire headliner. I found out the hard way the headliner must come down. Found a small auto shop near my house that replaced the entire setup for $400. They pulled a sunroof from an Expy at the local junkyard. That sunroof hasn't been opened since. lol
Hahaha… SMH…not sure I want to "test" it for the perspective buyer.

My wife and I said the same when we picked it up from the shop. The stealership wanted $1,200 to only replace the rails. The local auto glass shop grabbed an entire sunroof assembly (glass and rails) and installed for $400. That was a no brainer for us. That said, no desire to ever open that sunroof again.now I'm scared to test it again several months later for the fear it might bust again and I'd have to go through this again.
My 05 knock on wood has never had an issue.I must have been lucky, I had an 02 exploder and this expy with sunroofs. Used them both lots. Never any issues or leaks lol.
