Finally!! After months of searching for a suitable installer, I found one. The tailgate light bar and running board lights are on the Expy. When the decision was made to make these additions, it was known that there was no practical location that would lessen accidental damage. On purchasing the lights, I did not invest a lot in the lights themselves. The thought process was that if they get damaged, replacing them will be less costly. As suspected, wiring wasn’t easy. Connecting the taillight bar behind the seven-way plug was exceptionally easy, this proved to be a bad decision, as the system showed a trailer connected, so they had to be rerouted behind the taillight assembly. When it came to the running board lights, I don’t know how they ended up being wired. I do know that my installer was one frustrated individual. I can report that when he put the vehicle back together, the lights worked as intended, including the courtesy lights. It’s expected there will be nay-sayers, I don’t care. My vehicle, my decision, and they look great. Photos are not the best, but you get the idea.

Nice work! As one who often drives after sundown, I dream of rearward facing highbeams that I can activate for the yoyos behind me who refuse to dim their lights. You've added life to that dream, but it would probably just get me in trouble.

Thanks for the compliment. Yep, unfortunately. white lights on the rear of vehicles are prohibited, but I applaud your thought process.
