theft light flashing .... won't start

I tried starting 1997 expedition. started ran about ten seconds, then it shut down. theft light is flashing. I presume key has lost code ??

Have you done any work to the steering column recently?

Disconnect battery for 20 minutes, reconnect battery and try to start again

disconnected battery for about 2 hours, then vehicle has restarted with no light.

on another note, looking for source on clock spring assy.

my air bag light is on... horn and cruise not working.

horn does beep when locking vehicle using remote, so i know not a fuse.
