2004 Expedition XLT w/ leather and 86,000 miles. Clean exterior and interior.

Car was $8,760 at auction including auction fee
$1,000 commission to the dealer
$150 processing
$78.25 title fee
$50.00 tag fee
$90.00 post sale inspection
$644.60 in sales tax

So $10,772.85 for car out the door

$751.86 in repairs (a/c actuator motor replacement, fuel pump replacement, fuel filter replacement, spark plugs replacement and labor)

$1,070 wheels / tires (22inch status canes plus tires)

for a grand total of: $12,167.56

Not sure I feel like this was a good a deal now as I did when I bought it at auction but then again what do I know. Thoughts?

Well you can really count the rims and tires lol. But in reality its better to do that now then to be in the middle of something and the truck goes bad.

Thats a great deal. :waytogo: I paid $14,800 (minus my trade in) out the door for my 2000 Expy with 82,000 mi on it back in 2005. I traded in an Explorer.....too small.

I hate to admit it but I have spent close to what you paid for your expy the past few months on mods alone for mine. I started out planning just a few mods but lost my sanity somewhere along the way:Pshyco:. I can blame it on this forum:hmm:

Honestly, that is still a good price even with the wheels and repairs included.

got mine at an auction. customs auction. drug runner. cousin got it for i think 11k put in a new tank since it didnt have one, and we got it for 13k. with low miles. it than sat for about a year since my parents both had cars. then my moms mercades broke and she drove this. no maintenance until i got it. coils going out, and a few other things. so thats a good price.

yea its the compressor it went bad last september and i had a bypass pulley put on cause i wasnt gonna need the a/c over the winter. now im ready to fix it and i need a new compressor, a new dryer, lines flushed and filled with free-on and and some kind of orifice tube thing in the rear has to be replaced.
