I changed my 3 piece plugs out about 6 months ago. Since I've installed new ones, I get a decent gas smell in the cab and my mileage has dropped to 11.5 mpg.

Does the computer need to be "reset" so it can relearn? I've read this somewhere for my Jeep, just didn't know if these Fords work the same way. My understanding is that it is as simple as disconnecting your battery cables and touching them together to drain all power out.

The expy has run fine since the plugs change...no stalls sputters or anything. Simply just a drop in MPG's and a fuel smell in the cabin.

Any other ideas?

You've got a fuel leak somewhere under the hood. Even if the truck were running too rich, you wouldn't smell it in the cab. I'm not familiar with the 3v underhood, but I'd definitely check all the injectors, fuel lines (metal and rubber), regulator (and vacuum line hooked to it), and the connection between fuel lines and fuel rail.
