Sounds like a clock winding somewhat. Annoying, but goes away and comes back.
When I bought this it had the old steering pump in the new box so I know it was replaced recently. STP-280.
Nothing to do with turning, does it while I'm going straight. Any ideas of something that could be lose maybe inside the steering column? Never worked on one before.

Try changing the temp inside the truck see if the clicking stops. Sounds like a blend door motor to me

Might be some slop in the intermediate steering shaft. Easy enough to diagnose if you have a second person to turn the steering wheel slight left and right while you look/listen behind the front driver's side wheel well.
