Would it hurt the transfer case if I have p255 70 16 in the front and p265 70 16 in the rear? I brought the 265's before I saw that it's suppose to be p255 tires. Or should I just buy the p265 for all the way around.

uh.... it will be a problem as they aren't the same diameter.

255mm wide x (70% of the width)178.5mm (17.027") tall sidewall + 16" diameter = 33.027" total diameter.
265mm wide x (70% of the width) 185.5mm (17.303") tall sidewall + 16" diameter = 33.303" total diameter.

that is a third of an inch difference. it's close, yes... it's just outside tread depth range of measurement it's so close... but guess what will be taking the abuse if you choose to run with this? a: your gears. not your transfer case, but your axles. it will work those things over in a way that will make you deeply regret you did that. (ring and pinions, for decent gear sets are $400 including master install kits/bearings/sea;s) each axle ($800) then install (gears are NOT easy or beginners work, expect $600 axle).... you'd be looking at around $2k total.

simply- don't do it.

There is a electric clutch, that engages front axles. There are speed sensors on the front and rear. When the computer detects a difference, it energizes the clutch. Using mismatch tires, may leave all 4 tires engaged full time. The extra drag will kill your mileage. It could bind in sharp turns and wear out the transfer case. I recommend, putting 265's on all four wheels.

Thanks a lot I guess the I'll be going with 265 all the way around.
You can disable the A4WD(automatic 4 wheel drive), by pulling, under hood, maxi fuse 104(not sure #, check manual). It is for the electric clutch. I pull mine every summer. The truck is 2WD, with fuse puled.
