I am considering buying a 99 Expedition at 75K. No mechanical history of problems per owner.

What is the average expected mileage on these Expeditions ???

I don't see why you couldn't get tremendous mileage out of today's modern vehicles WITH PROPER MAINTENANCE. :) 200K should be no problem. Heck, I got that out of my 96 DODGE Grand Caravan! (And it is still on the road!)

75K is nothing really provided the truck has been taken care of and the price is right. :)

I'd say 75K miles on a '99 model is pretty good. I've got a little more than 43,000 on my '04.

If the owner has maintainance records and there is no sign of problems and he's done the basic requirements, ie regular oil changes etc. then I'd say go for it.

I would also expect at least 200,000 miles as a useable life span as long as you do regular maintainance and don't skimp on oil quality.

Well I just came back from Fl, I live in the NYC area and clocked over 2K's more on my Exp. I now have 0ver 228,000 miles on her. I use only Mobil 1 motor oil and Mobil 1 products on all the fluids in the Exp. Tranny, dif, ect..

They are great SUV'S as long as YOU take good care of them. : cheers:
