Transmission failure scare.

I started the '07 Navi today and it showed the wicked wrench icon so I backed it out but then it would only drive in third gear even if I manually shifted it. I got my OBDII code reader out and it showed 2 MAF sensor codes. I popped the hood and I had forgotten to replace the MAF wires when I was fooling around in there the day before. Who would think that would affect the transmission like that ?...….all good now.

OK thanks, I didn't go fast and it didn't have much power so that makes sense. It wouldn't come out of third gear and reverse. Been limped before in another truck a couple times and it's a great idea by Ford.

GM does it, too. Dunno about Chrysler, but suspect they do also.
